Pope Francis has appointed Bishop Ronald Hicks be at Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet on September 29th. Bishop Hicks will take over Bishop Conlon's place. Still... please keep continue praying for Bishop Daniel Conlon.
I got a letter from Fr. Joe Mulcrone this morning.

Joliet Diocese is getting a wonderful bishop, Ron Hicks.
He is a very humble, good natured priest.
He worked in El Salvador for several years as a missionary.
He knows the deaf community and supports deaf ministry.
When we had the last Mid-West ICDA several years ago near Chicago,
he came to celebrate the Mass with us.
You see that... Bishop Hicks had worked with Deaf Community and support deaf ministry. Can't wait to welcome him to our community.
