Pope Francis allowed our Bishop Daniel Conlon to retired from the top leadership of Joliet Diocese due to his health and can't manage being leader of our large diocese. Bishop Richard Pates is temporary leader of our diocese.
Pope Francis will find a new leader to take Bishop Daniel's place.
